  1. For many years I have watched the Hack Berry tree in front of our home. It is the source of fruit for countless birds and occassional fox squirrels. It is a place to "watch the river". Sometimes I watch that tree, in the Fall, on a very windy day. I stare at one leaf until my ego tires and I move my eyes to another dead solar collector. I have somehow attached meaning to catching the moment the leaf detaches from its source. I have never caught that moment of separation. Is this part of mindlessness?

I think of the Yin Yang symbol. It shows black and white in an endless, spinning dance. We are taught in our culture that there is Satin and God...and that there is doubt of which one will be victorious. You should label the Yin Yang with those two names. There will never be a victor. There is, however, the Awareness that is Seeing this symbol from just behind our minds. It exists without breathing or eating or bathing or dressing. "Entering the water It makes not a ripple. Piercing the sky, It lifts not a wing." "Seeking Awareness is like tracking birds in flight" "When your teeth need cleaning, go the the Dentist"

    With Loving Kindness.........
